Winter Bird Adventures at WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre!

This week, some of our older children had the fantastic opportunity to visit the WWT Llanelli Wetland Centre as part of our Winter Bird theme. It was a day full of excitement, exploration, and hands-on learning, and we couldn’t be happier with how much the children enjoyed it!

From the moment we arrived, the children were eager to begin their adventure. With their keen eyes and listening ears, they set off on a bird-spotting mission, discovering a variety of beautiful winter birds in their natural habitats. It was fascinating to observe the different species and discuss their unique colours, sizes, and the wonderful sounds they make.

But the fun didn’t stop there! The children got to explore the wetlands up close, walking through different environments, squelching in the mud, and learning about the importance of these habitats for wildlife. There were lots of giggles and excitement as they embraced the outdoor experience, making wonderful discoveries along the way.

Of course, no trip is complete without some time to run, climb, and play, so the children also enjoyed the adventure playground, letting off steam after all the exploring. The joy on their faces as they played together was priceless!

huge thank you to our wonderful nursery team who helped make this trip possible. Your enthusiasm and care ensured the children had a fun, safe, and enriching experience—one that we’re sure they will remember for a long time!

We love providing these opportunities for our little learners to explore the world around them, and we can’t wait for more exciting adventures to come!
