Celebrating St. David's Day at Myrtle House Nursery

We joyfully celebrated St. David's Day at Myrtle House Nursery, immersing our children in the rich traditions of Wales. The nursery was abuzz with excitement as children arrived dressed in vibrant Welsh costumes, embodying the spirit of the day.

Embracing Welsh Traditions

Our celebrations included a variety of Welsh-themed activities designed to educate and entertain:

  • Crafts: Children engaged in creating traditional Welsh symbols, such as daffodils and leeks, fostering creativity and cultural awareness.

  • Storytelling: We shared Welsh legends and tales, captivating the children's imaginations and introducing them to the rich tapestry of Welsh folklore.

  • Music: Traditional Welsh songs filled the air as children experienced the joy of Welsh music.

A Day of Joy and Learning

The children's enthusiasm was palpable as they participated in each activity, their smiles reflecting the joy of learning about a new culture. Celebrating St. David's Day provided a wonderful opportunity for our nursery community to come together, honouring Welsh heritage and instilling a sense of cultural awareness in our young learners.

We look forward to more such enriching experiences that celebrate diversity and foster a love for learning in our children.
