Beach & Holiday Theme
Last week our theme in our nurseries was all about Beach & Holidays! With the Summer holidays fast approaching we got to talk to the children about where they are going on holiday and what they enjoy to do when there. We had lots of fun different crafts and activities for them to enjoy including:
• Building different vehicles we might go on holiday on, including an amazing plane in the role play corner at our Pentip setting where the children enjoyed pretending to be pilots, flight attendants and passengers.
• Sliding boats down bamboo pipes
•.Building sandcastles in the sand pit.
• Building a little beach in the gardens at Pentip where the children enjoyed relaxing on the inflatable lido and pretending to splash in the sea.
• Blowing boats with straws in the water tray.
• Opening an ice cream parlour where the children could pretend pay for ice creams then choose what flavour ice cream they wanted.
• Lots of water play to keep us cool.
• Outdoor storytime.
• Making sea animals out of sand dough.
Lots of fun and we can’t wait to hear about all the adventures the children get up to on their holidays this Summer!
