Our Nursery

Who we are

Myrtle House Nursery is set within 2 acres of beautiful, spacious grounds and is easily accessible to people living in Llanelli and the surrounding areas.

It is the perfect place for outdoor play, exploration and self-discovery in a completely enclosed, safe and secure environment.

Our indoor space is spacious, bright, airy and clean, with large windows allowing the use of natural daylight to light the spaces for much of the year, while also providing natural passive cross ventilation to minimise cross transmission of infections.

The indoor rooms are divided into different dedicated areas of learning, including mark-making, creative, home corner, playdough, water, sand, investigation, reflection, reading, loose parts, small world, construction, ICT, numeracy and literacy. All these spaces are designed to be both stimulating and inviting, yet educational and fun where open-ended play is encouraged and a love of learning begins.

Our opening times are 8.00am to 6.00pm.

Full and half day care

Wrap-around care including transport to/from local schools available on request.

Opening Hours

Full-day session: 9.00am– 5.00pm (8am start and 6pm finish is available on request)

Morning session: 9.00am– 1.00pm

Afternoon session: 1.00pm – 5.00pm

Baby (Under 2’s) Spaces

The baby rooms provide a safe, warm, colourful and tactile space offering our youngest children an attractive and homely place to explore and play safely, with stimulating resources to encourage your child to grow and develop, setting a good foundation in life.

The rooms are equipped with a good range of age appropriate equipment with baby walkers, cushions, activity centres, pull-along toys, etc. The space makes it possible to maintain comfort, hygiene and safety in a brightly coloured happy atmosphere.

Outdoor Spaces

The children have a designated, secure outdoor play area with a lovely woodland area, which includes a pirate ship, climbing frame and trees to shelter. There are trikes to ride, playhouses, tables, benches, a mud-kitchen, a potting bench, sand and water play for the children to enjoy.

There are various areas outside that include, creative and dramatic, social and reflection, challenge and investigation, natural (woodland area), physical and active.

When it rains the over 2’s can use an outside undercover play gym and soft play area.
